Tech Co. Fit Out Completes

The final phase of our exciting workplace fit-out work at Quartermile 4 is now complete.

Our Client’s new Edinburgh home provides an exciting mix of workplace and test lab areas in a new brand environment over six floors with space for a total of 600 staff.  Kick-started by a post occupancy analysis of the early phase spaces, this final floor provides space for 180 people.

Constant learning is key and this analysis enabled the Client and the Designers to assess what was / wasn’t working on the initial phase and fine-tune the proposals for the final floor, particularly in the design of the collaborative spaces.

The final phase also sees the completion of the uppermost level of the open link stair with a new ‘sleeper stair’ linking the fourth and fifth floors.

Set at the south end of the floorplate (surrounded by a variety of social activities and collaborative work settings), the open stairwell now connects five floors bringing our Client’s lab and office based teams together.
