We have recently submitted a detailed planning application for a new mixed-use development in the centre of Newcastle. The re-development of Thomson House will replace the former offices of the Newcastle Chronicle & Journal with a new hotel and apart-hotel and associated facilities.
Located between The Groat Market and Pudding Chare in Newcastle, the proposed development will incorporate two hotel operators with some shared common areas that will provide a mix of hotel rooms and apart-hotel style studio rooms as well as a small gym and a bar with lounge, food service areas and meeting room facilities at ground floor level.
An existing vacant public house to the rear of Thomson House will be replaced with a new, stand-alone public house.
