Despite still working from home as we come into autumn, it has been a busy couple of months here at MLA.
MLA attended the BCO Scottish Awards last week and we are delighted to announce that 122 Waterloo Street, Glasgow picked up an award. 122 Waterloo Street, which was completed for our client HFD Property Group and is now occupied by Morgan Stanley, won the regional award for Corporate Workplace. The team will now go onto the National Awards which will be held in January. Congratulations to everyone who was involved in this fantastic project.
Great news this week too for the architecture team, as proposals for a mixed-use development on Baltic Street, Leith have been granted planning permission. The development will provide student accommodation, affordable homes, retail units and office space in the Leith Conservation Area. Working for clients Sundial Property, MLA are excited to now move onto the next stage of this project.
Our interiors team have also been busy, with a number of projects recently completed. The fit out of KPMG Aberdeen’s new home in Marischal Square was handed over at the start of September. MLA also finished a refurbishment for the Scottish Bible Society, transforming their offices in Edinburgh into a comfortable, colourful and collaborative workspace.

Finally, following on from the successful completion of the new Glenkinchie brand home, we are very excited to announce that we will be sponsoring the Tourism Destination of the Year award at the Scottish Whisky Awards again this year. The virtual ceremony will take place on Thursday 19th November and we look forward to being a part of this incredible industry event.
