We are thrilled that, following a recent meeting of the Council’s Development Management Sub-Committee, proposals for the Redevelopment of Corstorphine Hospital have received Planning Permission. We believe this outcome is the best result in order to secure a future for the site, not least to prevent the further deterioration of the listed hospital building which is a focal, heritage asset for the local area.
This latest planning approval adds to our increasing expertise in the repurposing of vacated historic buildings and institutions into modern, relevant developments. Other similar projects include, amongst others, the redevelopment of the former Boroughmuir High School, the proposed redevelopment of the Royal Blind School, Ellersley House and our proposed Masterplan for Bangour Village.
We very much look forward to working with Sundial Dundas (Corstorphine) Ltd and the design team on progressing this project.
