New Datacentre for AEGON

Completed in September 2009, on time and within the client’s budget, AEGON’s new European Data Centre brings the organisation’s European IT service to Edinburgh by providing two newly refurbished data halls within the Lochside Crescent headquarters building.

New dual string chilled water systems, uninterruptible power supplies, standby generation and enhanced fire suppression and security systems have all been introduced into the building in a painstaking operation by principal contractors Forth Electrical Services, working in the live Data Centre with no interruption to the business.

Michael Laird Architects were also Project Managers for the project with RSP as Consulting Engineers and Faithful & Gould as the Quantity Surveyor.
