MLA to masterplan Tamfourhill, Falkirk

Michael Laird Architects have been appointed as masterplanners for one of Scotland’s most prestigious urban regeneration projects at Tamfourhill, Falkirk. The brief is to unlock the commercial potential of The Falkirk Wheel, Antonine Wall and Forth & Clyde canal by providing a new destination; a live/work/relax environment which will cultivate increased tourist participation and generate a new sustainable community.

The project aims to provide an area of mixed use development centred on providing family accommodation in new innovative urban ways. The hub will contain live/work units, hotel, retail and leisure accommodation with a new leisure craft marina, all centred on the Forth and Clyde canal.

The project is currently at an early stage and the community engagement process is underway.
