Lightning Park Masterplan
The masterplan is perceived as four pavilion buildings of differing sizes responding to the principle boundary whilst screening the parking behind. A series of pedestrian routes and courtyard spaces will provide the amenity space which links the buildings together.
This site, on the west side of Edinburgh, requires a bold architectural language to compete with the surrounding context. We have adopted a highly visual treatment of simple curtain walling integrating solid coloured panels in a rotational pattern.
The first building of 100,000 sqft was completed in 2007 and the remaining masterplan will provide a further 170,000 sqft of prime office accommodation.
