Sports Club and Hotel Redevelopment, Raeburn Place, Edinburgh
The Proposals at Raeburn Place for The Edinburgh Academical Club and Raeburn House Hotel Ltd are for a sporting and social destination for the City which enhances the Stockbridge area.
Raeburn Place has a strong historical link with sports, having hosted the first ever international rugby match between England and Scotland in 1871. The previous sports pavilion was of little architectural value and in poor condition and was recently demolished. In its place we hope to create a national sporting venue of excellence which has an appropriately ambitious architectural design. The new pavilion will provide changing facilities on the ground floor, with a first floor that incorporates a bar, restaurant and function rooms overlooking the pitches.
