The Belford Road project presents an exciting opportunity to replace two inefficient and inflexible office buildings with a dynamic, high quality modern development that reflects and compliments the rich historic context both in terms of use of materials and its disciplined approach to street and facade.
The concept of the design is simple. Three distinct blocks are positioned around the site perimeter, each directly responding to the adjacent urban conditions in terms of orientation, mass and materials.
The proposed structures use a palette of high quality materials that reflect the surrounding architecture in order to allow the development to naturally bed into the existing urban landscape.
