Dublin Meuse Townhouses, Edinburgh
The proposal for a pair of houses on a gap site in the New Town was submitted for planning permission in early 2007.
The Dublin Meuse site is located in the heart of the New Town second phase, just north of Abercromby Place. The proposal is in a contemporary style with a horizontal emphasis -using wide apertures and subtle recesses -offset by vertical rhythms such as timber fins to the frontage at street level. Other materials used include traditional ashlar sandstone, zinc panels, glass and grey-painted timber.
