After a long delay to the awards caused by the famed Beast from the East, headlines headed west for the Scottish Property Awards ceremony, and we had a superb night of wins for our projects there!
City Campus for the City of Glasgow College, designed in collaboration with Reiach and Hall Architects, collected the Architectural Excellence Award and the development of the Year Award, both in the Public Buildings category. This adds to the Development’s impressive list of awards so far, and congratulations go to all the team involved.
Our Conservation, refurbishment and extension of Kirkintilloch Town Hall took home the Town Centre regeneration Project of the Year, an amazing win given that the aim of the project is exactly that – to rejuvenate this area of the town by re-instating the heart of the town. Submitted by hub west Scotland and East Dunbartonshire Council, this validates all the hard work put in to conserving the Town Hall which was previously in a very poor state. Well done to all involved.
Finally, George Street Apartments, submitted by KR Developments, took home the Student Accommodation Development of the Year award. MLA have done many Student Accommodation projects, and we are delighted that this one has been recognised for its inventive re-use of this handsome sandstone building – well done to KR Developments for a successful evening!
